Come to demand delivery today Monday 10/27 3-6pm. Meet at Spokane St Fishing Area and march to Zim offices!!

TO: Zim American Integrated Shipping Services Co. LLC
1011 S.W. Klickitat Way,
Suite 209,
Seattle, Wa. 98134
206-607-3200 (Phone)
206-607-3204 (Fax)
You are receiving this letter as written notice that you will be targeted for boycott and economic damage until you take all steps possible to use your position of power within the State of Israel to make Israel comply with the demands of the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (

• Ending the occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Wall;

• Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality;

• Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.

As a commercial shipping company, you should also demand and that the State of Israel respect the basic rights of movement and commerce of the people of Gaza:

• Freedom for Palestinians to move freely in and out of Gaza;

• Unrestricted import and export of supplies and goods, including by land, sea and air;

• Unrestricted use of the Gaza seaport

Since you are a major Israeli corporation and part of the Ofer Brothers conglomerate, you are in a unique position to persuade Israel to comply with these demands, which are in accord with international law and common decency. Until the State of Israel complies with these conditions, Puget Sound will join other port areas on the West Coast, around the U.S., and around the world in denouncing, boycotting, blockading, and causing other economic damage to your commerce and your corporation.

You have the opportunity to join the growing international movement for equal rights and justice for Palestinians. To protect ZIM from increasing commercial isolation, take immediate action to end Israel’s siege, blockade, occupation and imprisonment of the Palestinian people.

We Vow To Disrupt & Inflict Economic Damage on Zim Shipping

Let’s keep up the pressure on Israel to end its occupation and colonization of Palestinian lands and its attacks on the Palestinian people!

Less than a week following Operation Protective Edge, which took 2,168 Palestinian lives, wounded 11,000, flattened entire neighborhoods, and displaced more than half a million residents – nearly 1/3 of the entire population – Israel announced that it would be annexing 1000 acres that belong to Palestinians in the West Bank, an act amounting to another declaration of War.[1]

According to the UN, 69% of those killed during the barbaric assault were civilians.[2] Six UN-run schools acting as civilian shelters were hit seven times by Israel, despite the UN actively communicating the coordinates of the schools to Israel and Israel’s obligation under humanitarian law to evacuate civilians.[3]

As Palestinians struggle to rebuild yet again and to bring water, medicine, and food to survivors in Gaza, and as Palestinians continue to resist illegal Israeli colonization, let’s show Palestinians that the Pacific Northwest is continuing to Boycott, Divest & Sanction Israel in solidarity with Palestinian demands for justice and freedom.

Zim Integrated Shipping LLC: Not welcome in our ports!Israeli shipping company Zim Integrated Shipping is controlled by the Israel Corp and the Ofer Brothers Group, two extremely powerful entities in Israel. We are sending a clear message to Zim that they are not welcome here in the Pacific Northwest unless they do everything within their power to support Palestinian demands for freedom and equality.The international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement emerged from the call for international solidarity with the Palestinians in their struggle against genocide, siege, and land theft. The Block The Boatcampaign is being organized all throughout North America as one facet of the BDS Movement. We intend to continue to hurt Zim’s profits, as we join the fight to disrupt business-as-usual for Israel.

Stories from Port Mobilization Resistance this Sunday!

Port Stories: Sharing Lessons
Becca Echeverria will presenting on the political movement, Port Militarization Resistance (PMR). PMR was a group formed in 2006 which responded to the militarization of our local WA ports by informing the public what was happening and taking direct action to stop shipments of military vehicle known as Strikers. The group ended in 2010 in part because a military spy was discovered to be a member of the group. Becca will explain events using a timeline and talk about how PMR fits into a longer tradition of port resistance in WA.
Sunday October 12th
7pm – 9pm
Pipsqueek 173 16th Ave
This is the first of what we hope could be a series of conversations to deepen our knowledge and enhance our work. Soup will be provided, please bring a bowl and spoon. Additional food welcomed!!!

In the past 60 days, Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, Palestine has killed over 2137 Palestinians, including over 500 children. Over 10,000 are wounded, including over 3,000 children. 20,000 homes have been destroyed completely or beyond possibility of repair, and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are displaced.
Thousands of people took to the streets in Vancouver – part of millions around the world – to express their outrage and horror at this brutal assault, supported all the while by the Canadian government and the representatives of all political parties. Palestinian resilience and resistance under the Israeli bombardment inspired the people of the world to take action and step up the campaign to Boycott, Divest and Sanction!
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services is a cornerstone corporation of the Israeli economy that operates a large, global fleet. In Oakland, California, thousands of protesters came out – and blocked a ZIM ship from unloading for 4 days thanks thanks to the solidarity of ILWU Local 10 longshore workers who refused to cross the picket line. In Long Beach, California, another ZIM ship was stopped from unloading by a community port picket. In Seattle and Tacoma, ZIM’s boats were delayed to avoid protests and ZIM’s business as usual was disrupted at the port. Read more: Protestors block and delay Israeli ships up and down US West Coast
Now it is time for us to act in Vancouver
Palestinian labor organizations, including the Palestinian General Federation Trade Union (PGFTU), have called on workers around the world to refuse to handle Israeli goods. Palestinians throughout Gaza, the West Bank and 1948 Palestine have demonstrated their unity in the struggle against Apartheid Israel. ZIM’s activity up and down the West Coast has been significantly disrupted with significant financial impact on the business of apartheid.
Join us Saturday, September 6 for Port Education and Leafleting of stevedores and truckers on their way to and from work along Deltaport Way – and build the campaign to BLOCK THE BOAT VANCOUVER
